The keris is often misunderstood within our community, commonly viewed negatively due to misconceptions surrounding mysticism and fear. In reality, the keris is a symbol of Malay heritage, artistry, and identity. It is also not exclusive to the Javanese world; many other cultures across the Nusantara have their own unique keris traditions. Our sharing session will introduce the basics of the Malay keris and help dispel common misconceptions surrounding it.

The Wau: A Heritage Carried By The Wind

The Wau is a traditional Malay kite renowned for its intricate craftsmanship, elegance, and cultural symbolism unlike any other in the world. While many are familiar with the iconic Wau Bulan, there are actually many different types of Wau, each carrying its own unique design, identity, and meaning inspired by nature, beliefs, and local traditions. More than just a kite, the Wau represents the creativity, artistry, and rich heritage of the Malay world.
